PROGRAMMER

PROGRAMMING TEAM | REMOTE

At Glinda Games, we’re dedicated to building high-quality games with care, creativity, and technical excellence. From strategy classics to next-gen console ports and original IPs, we’re known for delivering projects that are polished, performant, and player-focused. As a Programmer at Glinda, you’ll contribute to the core systems, features, and tools that power our games. You’ll work across genres and platforms alongside experienced developers, designers, and artists. Whether we’re building something from scratch or remastering a classic, your code will help bring it to life. We are proudly independent, proudly technical, and proudly human. If you’re collaborative, curious, and passionate about making great games — we’d love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building and maintaining gameplay systems, tools, and features using C++

  • Working within Unreal Engine (or occasionally Unity) to support gameplay, UI, networking, or pipeline tools

  • Collaborating closely with designers, artists, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into working, player-ready systems

  • Profiling, debugging, and optimizing for performance across multiple platforms

  • Writing clean, reusable, and well-documented code

  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of high technical standards

  • Testing and validating your own work before integration into builds

  • Providing time estimates and scoping input for tasks during planning

  • Supporting R&D efforts, tooling improvements, or workflow enhancements as needed

WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

  • Have strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in modern C++

  • Are comfortable working in Unreal Engine or similar

  • Take pride in writing clean, efficient code that plays well, not just compiles cleanly

  • Enjoy working with creative teammates to bring features to life

  • Are curious about game design, player experience, and how systems support great gameplay

  • Have a genuine interest in AI-assisted workflows and new technologies

  • Understand core principles of gameplay, system design, and performance optimization

  • Communicate clearly and work well with multidisciplinary teams

  • Are eager to learn, contribute, and grow with the team

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience applying AI or ML tools to game pipelines, asset workflows, or procedural systems

  • Experience with C# or Unity

  • Experience shipping a commercial game title (any platform)

  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git, Perforce) and task tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

  • Knowledge of one or more specialist areas — AI, animation, networking, rendering, tools

  • An interest in ports, remasters, or console development

  • Previous exposure to agile or pod-based team structures

  • Passion for games — both playing and building them

YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU...

  • Take pride in delivering thoughful, reliable, and well-structured code

  • Enjoy solving technical puzzles as part of a collaborative team

  • Like working in a respectful, supportive environment that values clarity and autonomy

  • Are curious about new technologies and excited by the possibilities of AI in development

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
